Technical Specification
The Revopoint MetroX Standard Edition marks Revopoint’s entry into industrial metrology, featuring a high-performance hybrid light system. It combines 14 blue laser cross lines, 7 parallel blue laser lines, and 62-line full-field structured light. This combination allows the scanner to achieve a professional accuracy of 0.03 mm and a precision of up to 0.01 mm. Designed for small to medium-sized objects (10 mm to 1000 mm), it is an ideal tool for reverse engineering, quality control, and rapid prototyping where sub-millimeter detail is critical.
The MetroX is highly versatile, offering four distinct modes to handle different surface types. The Cross Lines mode is optimized for quickly capturing flat, featureless surfaces on shiny or black objects without scanning spray. The Parallel Lines mode is designed to pick up fine details and sharp edges on complex geometries. For high-speed data acquisition, the Full-Field Structured Light mode can capture up to 7 million points per second, while the Auto Turntable mode provides a fully automated workflow for 360° digitization with vibrant color support.
The Standard Edition includes the essential hardware for a complete desktop and handheld scanning setup, featuring a Dual-axis Turntable that can tilt and rotate simultaneously to eliminate blind spots. Weighing 508 g, the scanner is portable but requires a powerful PC to handle its high data throughput, specifically recommending an NVIDIA RTX 30/40 series GPU for real-time processing at up to 60 FPS. The system uses the dedicated Revo Metro software, which streamlines everything from point-cloud fusion to exporting watertight models in STL, OBJ, or PLY formats.
