Why Choose PLA?

PLA combines ease of printing with a rigid finish. It generally needs less demanding printing conditions than ABS or ASA, making it convenient for many desktop FDM printers.

Our RIGID BIO-BASED Type label helps identify materials where rigidity and a plant-derived base polymer are key characteristics. Bio-based does not mean a finished print can be disposed of in a home compost bin.

When to Choose Another Material

For parts that bend, compare TPU or other flexible materials. For warmer working conditions, consider a material with higher documented heat resistance. For outdoor exposure, ASA may be a better fit.
