Smooth color changes during printing
The CANVAS system allows you to instantly change the color of the filament during a single print – without interrupting the process and without user intervention. The use of independent motor control and shortened filament feed paths ensures that color switching is fast, precise, and with minimal delay. The Auto Refill function allows you to continue printing after one spool has been used up, automatically switching to the next roll of the same filament, which is particularly important for large projects that take many hours. In addition, the filament tangling prevention system detects incorrect material feeding, stops printing at the right moment, and minimizes waste through controlled filament retraction. Multi-material support
The Centauri Carbon 2 Combo is designed to work with a variety of filaments, from basic to more technically advanced. A nozzle with a maximum temperature of 350°C and a closed working chamber with intelligent temperature management ensure stable printing conditions, which are essential for materials such as PC or PET. Stable printing conditions from the first to the last layer
A closed working chamber with an intelligent thermal cover and actively controlled ventilation grille creates a controlled environment in which each material maintains the optimum temperature throughout the printing process. Combined with a heated bed up to 110°C, this ensures excellent adhesion of the first layer and significantly reduces the risk of curling or cracking of prints. The whole thing is complemented by an efficient cooling system with fast fans that precisely dissipate excess heat where it is needed – even with dynamic, complex projects. The 260 × 260 mm working platform and 256 × 256 × 256 mm working volume provide the freedom to create larger and more complex models.
Easy printing from the first start
The ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2 Combo printer has been designed to simplify the entire process as much as possible – from preparation to completion of printing. Automatic calibration and automatic table leveling eliminate the need for manual adjustment and testing of the first layer, which will be particularly appreciated by those just starting their adventure with 3D printing. The process is supervised by an extensive system of 31 intelligent sensors that monitor, among other things, nozzle clogging, filament presence, fan operation, table temperature, ventilation grille status, and power failure. Just load the filament, select the model, and let the device take care of the rest. The printer is operated from a 5-inch color capacitive touch screen, allowing you to quickly start prints and control the process without delving into technical menus.
Speed and precision without compromise
The CoreXY design, combined with independently controlled 4260 stepper motors on the X and Y axes, allows printing speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration of up to 20,000 mm/s². Stability at these parameters is ensured by a cast aluminum frame and chassis, which effectively dampen vibrations at the structural level. The whole is complemented by active vibration compensation, which detects resonances and eliminates ringing and ghosting effects, so that even fast prints retain sharp edges and smooth surfaces. In addition, automatic calibration precisely adjusts the filament flow to the head speed, and automatic Z-offset adjustment ensures a perfect first layer right from the start. Printing accuracy of ±0.1 mm allows for repeatable details in both decorative models and functional elements.
A consistent ecosystem – from model to finished print
The Centauri Carbon 2 Combo is part of ELEGOO's fully integrated ecosystem, which facilitates the entire work process – from idea to finished object. Built-in access to the 3D model platform allows you to browse, download, and print designs directly – without tedious file searches and manual setup. The whole system works seamlessly with a dedicated slicer that guides the user through the print preparation process in an intuitive way, even for more complex projects. This is complemented by a remote printer control app that allows you to monitor your work in real time, view it from a camera, and create timelapses – both at home and away. This ecosystem makes 3D printing no longer a series of technical steps, but a coherent, intuitive creative process accessible to everyone. The printer supports USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, works with ElegooSlicer, Orca, and Cura software, and accepts STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP files, generating a standard G-code output file.
