Cartridge World launches global quality initiative

The company has opened a global procurement centre in China to help “improve global print quality standards”.

In a press release, Cartridge World revealed the opening of the centre, where a team of “quality assurance specialists” will work on “sourcing and testing products” through a “newly-implemented ‘triple check’ before being shipped”. The plan, spearheaded by Global CEO Steve Weedon, is part of a plan to “enhance the quality of Cartridge World products”, and the “large scale” efforts aim to “guarantee the quality of affordable printer cartridges for consumers and business owners”.

Cartridge World added that the “movement to improve global print quality standards” looks to ensure “superior, cost-effect products”, and comes after last summer’s sale to Suzhou GoldenGreen Technologies (SGT). It also follows Cartridge World’s “recent introduction” of a new franchising business model, which focuses on “selling high-efficiency printers that use high-yield printer cartridges”, and “providing bundled printing services and office printing solutions for business customers”.

Weedon commented: “The new procurement centre sets the industry standard for world-class quality assurance procedures for printer cartridges. As a result, franchisees in the Cartridge World system will receive superior quality products to retain their consumer and small business customers, while still maintaining a significant cost savings over competitors.”
