Delivery FAQs

What are the Delivery Options?

For orders over €50 Business and Home customers can expect a prompt and free next day delivery in town – under €50 charges apply

You can order online and choose from 6 options for delivery.

  1. Collect from CW Store. Free Pickup from our shops
  2. Office – Free* Delivery to your business in town (or €5)
  3. Home – Free* Delivery to your residence in town (or €5)
  4. Collect from ACS – Free*  (or €2.5)    
  5. Collect from BOX NOW Locker Free* (or €2)
  6. Outside Cyprus (shipping varies and will be advised after order placement) under 1kg weight is €25

For regular business customers placing orders early morning; you may request a same day delivery and if the item is in-stock we will try our best to assist.

What happens after I ordered?

Upon ordering you will receive an email confirmation. We follow-up with a courtesy call to keep you informed about delivery. Delivery of products purchased online may be handled by our own personnel or ACS Couriers.

Which Days do you Deliver?

Delivery duration days are shown on each item on our website. We deliver Monday thru Friday 9am – 4pm. and next day refers to next business/working day. We do not deliver on public holidays.

How are they Delivered?

You are offered the choice of the ACS ‘Collection Point’ or BOX NOW Locker where you can pick up your parcel during our checkout and your selection is shown on your order.

Shipping to Other Countries

Cartridge World Cyprus dispatches your purchase (next business day) using EMS Datapost (door to door express courier service).
Usually, shipping takes 72 hours from the time you place your order.
We will provide the EMS tracking number as soon as the order has been dispatched from our warehouse.

Standard delivery fee applies for all European orders weighing less than 1kg. If the order weighs more than 1kg, you will be notified the difference to be paid.

Regretfully, restrictions do not permit us to deliver to the TRNC.

Business Account

We encourage businesses to open an account with us and discounts can apply for volume purchasing. Simply request a new business form, and we’ll send one over to you, once you’ve completed and returned it we’ll give you an answer by the next day.

For businesses with a repeat monthly purchase history, we will consider extending a credit account on signing and approval of a credit account application.
Payment terms are strictly 30 day from invoice. If you think you may qualify, please talk to your designated sales representative.

Is my card information secure?

All credit card details are passed through a secure JCC payment gateway. We don’t store any of your credit card details,

Do I get a VAT invoice?

We dispatch a full VAT invoice to your email address when we have processed your order.
If you do require any additional information then simply drop us a call or email and we can provide anything you require.

Can I set up a school account?

Schools and government funded bodies can set up accounts with us by simply calling or emailing our sales team, who will take you through the simple process step by step.

What is your VAT number?

Our VAT number is CY 10129131G it is also printed at the top of each invoice that we send out.

Printing FAQs

What are the benefits of using Cartridge World cartridges?

First, you will save money – buying the printer manufacturer’s cartridge will cost you much more than choosing a Cartridge World brand cartridge. In fact, you can enjoy 30-80% savings by using our brand.
Our inks and toners are specially designed to match all brands of printers, so print quality is just as good, and where we can we offer increased ink volume so you can print more.
A CW branded ink or toner cartridge is Carbon Neutral. We have taken action to offset the carbon emissions produced during production through a certified carbon offset project.
Choosing CW brand cartridges is more eco-friendly and helps the environment.

Can I do something to improve printing?

I have not used my printer for some time and the prints are streaked or missing a color. 

You must perform a cleaning / head cleaning cycle using the software that came with your printer – the printhead on your printer or on your cartridge may be clogged.
There are several ways you can do this depending on the type of printer you are using – consult the user manual for the correct method or contact your local Cartridge World store.
Our in-store experts will be able to advise you on how to fix your problems and if they remain, we can arrange to have your printer inspected and repaired thoroughly.

What does Original or OEM stand for?

OEM stands for ‘Original Equipment Manufacturer,’ which means that they are made for a specific line of machines by the same producer as the machine itself.
So a genuine HP ink means that ink was made by HP for an HP printer.

What is a compatible cartridge?

A compatible cartridge is a brand new cartridge made by a third party company. So a compatible HP ink is a cartridge made by someone other than HP, as a direct replacement for a
genuine HP version. We quality test extensively and only sell the best compatibles available, giving you the best cartridges for your money.

What is a remanufactured or refilled cartridge?

‘Remanufactured’ and ‘Refilled’ are simply different names for the same thing.
These are recycled replacement cartridges that have been collected by a third party cleaned, refilled, and rigorously tested to ensure they meet the same high standards as an original has.

Cartridge World ink cartridges are manufactured to the highest-quality ISO 24711, Reach, ROHS standards.

How many pages will my cartridges print?

This changes by printer and item, so you’ll see clear expected page yields for everything on our website.

Page yields explained

The Manufacturer stated page yield expected from a cartridge is informative but can be misleading as the number of pages you can print will depend on ‘’what’’ you print.
Page Yield is measured under test conditions and always based upon 5% page coverage (5% is not so much text for example a ‘’letter’’).
Uses of bold type, HEADINGS, Logos will all add to the amount of toner used on a page.

What else affects page yield?

Page yield could also change slightly due to a number of other factors such as; firmware (updated or not), stops within print jobs (versus one continuous print job),
age of the cartridge, toner powder used, components, temperature, humidity.

Warranty covering your Printer

Using a Cartridge World Own Brand cartridge will not invalidate your existing printer warranty.
By law, the manufacturer must adhere to the warranty as long as the cartridge itself is not the cause of the problem.

In the unlikely event that our cartridge does cause damage to your printer; Cartridge World will undertake the repair.

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights under local legislation.

Important! Turn off Printer Updates

We recommend: To TURN OFF Automatic Updates on your printer!

Don’t let an update from HP, Canon close-out the third party inks you are buying –avoid c/r non-recognition

Newer HP printers may receive a firmware update which may lock-out the cartridge’s smart chip and prevent printing. 
Typically when this occurs the error message “Cartridge Error: cartridge missing or damaged”, “Cartridge Problem”, “Missing or Damaged” or similar language will be displayed when using refilled ink cartridges. 
It is always suggested that you disable either the ‘Auto Update‘, ‘Update Printer‘ or ‘Update Available‘ feature moving forward to help prevent future chip lock-outs when using refilled ink cartridges.

How does HP prompt an update?

HP can use at least two different methods in attempt to get firmware updates pushed out to inkjet printers.

  1. The first affects all printers and uses a piece of software that is installed during the printer setup called ‘Update Available‘ or ‘HP Update’. This HP Update software will periodically check on the web to see if any firmware, drivers, or other software updates are available for the HP products installed or connected to the computer. Once an update is found it will prompt the user that the update is available and ask them if they want to download and install it; “Yes/Continue or No/Cancel”. The prompt does not provide the user any information about the update or what it wants to install. If the user selects “Yes/Continue” then it will grab all the available updates and begin installing them onto the computer and attached printer hardware (i.e. via USB or WiFi). If they select “No/Cancel” the prompt is hidden for a short period of time but the prompt will eventually return.
  2. The second is an Auto Update or Update Printer feature that appears to only be installed onto printers with display panels with web services enabled and is turned on by default on select new printer model series. If this feature is enabled then the printer can, without any notice, download updates automatically and install them.

 

How to turn OFF Automatic updates

Generally: To turn off automatic firmware updates:

  • Click “Setup” on printer screen (this looks like a cog or wheel)
  • Click on “Printer Maintenance”
  • Click on “Update the Printer”
  • Click on “Printer Update Options”

Click on “Do Not Check” ….You then need to select “No” on the question that pops up (If you clicked yes on the last message, it would discard the change)

 

Warranty & Returns FAQs

All Open box or Refurbished Hardware

Are covered under warranty for 2 years unless stated otherwise at time of sale and on Invoice.

All new Hardware and Accessory products

Are covered under warranty for 2 years.

If faulty:

Within the first 30 days: The customer is entitled to a full *refund or replacement for a new product (Refund only if returned with all packaging). 

We must repair or replace the faulty product within 25 days.

Return Policy

We only accept returns: If the item is a regularly stocked item returned in un-opened condition within the first 7 days of purchase. 

We do NOT accept: If the item has been specially ordered specifically for the customer, or it has been opened or passed the 1st 7 days.

If wrong ink or toner is purchased and if box is opened/damaged but the c/r is still sealed then we can accept to return and exchange but at a 20% restocking fee
(the 20% is then offered to the next customer as discount to buy the damaged box).

Laptops and Pc's Repair

IF YOU REQUIRE SERVICE: Return the item to any Cartridge World shop with an explanation of the problem. We will endeavor to have the device repaired (from the manufacturer if under warranty) within 5 working days (excl. delivery time). Or faster still if the repair is undertaken by our own in-house technicians. We will inform you of progress and if there are any unexpected delays (due to parts availability).

NOTE: Before you return the product to us make sure to backup the data on to another storage device. Remove any confidential, proprietary or personal information and removable media such as non-relevant CD’s. DMG Trading Ltd; trading as Cartridge World Cyprus are not responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary or personal information: loss or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media.

The limited warranty period varies with the product purchased.

The limited warranty period does not cover problems that result from:

Accident, viruses, misuse or electrical surges or spikes and issues caused by telecommunication or Internet Service Providers
Failure to follow instructions or changes/modifications to operating systems
Products for which the company has not been paid for or not purchased from us.

Returns on Inks and Toner

Original brand

Are covered for DOA ‘dead on arrival’ Within the first 30 days, with proof of purchase (receipt). Dead on Arrival. DOA is the most likely cause of return, seldom occurs.
We offer an exchange not refund (and claim on our supplier).

No refund in case the seal(s) have been removed from the cartridge.

Refilled/Compatible

CW own brand are covered with 100% satisfaction guarantee for up to 1 year from purchase.

Warranty on your purchase of Cartridge World branded ink and toner

Cartridge World guarantees that cartridges remanufactured by our company will perform as well as the branded original under similar conditions.

If you are dissatisfied with the results, please inform; Our Customer Helpline:777-777-85 or simply return the goods to any of our shops in Cyprus.
To ensure your satisfaction; we will: replace the faulty cartridge, or credit the full amount against a new cartridge, or provide a full refund.

FYI: The original manufacturer refers to the number of pages a cartridge will print based upon a 5% page coverage; which in reality is not a great deal of text and no graphics. 

Online purchase returns

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your return.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 15 days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
